No Torrent Listing with Opera 12

Post by BlazePh »

As the title suggests, no torrents are listed in the main area in Opera, despite the fact that there are actually many active torrents. It does, however, work fine in Chromium and Firefox. I've already read this post, but it appears the interface no longer works on the recently-released Opera 12. I only just started using Opera regularly, so I can't confirm whether or not it worked before 12. I've tried using Opera's user-agent cloaking mechanism to cloak the browser as Firefox and IE, neither of which worked.

--Details--
Server:
Arch Linux w/ kernel 3.3.7-1
Transmission 2.52-1

Client:
Arch Linux w/ kernel 3.4.2-2
Chromium 19.0.1084.56-1 (works)
Firefox 13.0.1-1 (works)
Opera 12.00-1 (doesn't work)

Any help is much appreciated :D

Maybe this will help: Shift, a new web UI
Could you post back there if it works?

Thanks, that appears to work. I can't say I'm terribly fond of the interface though...
Is there any chance that the main web interface will be fixed for Opera any time soon?

After further investigation of this issue, I found out that this problem exists only in the Linux version of Opera. The Windows version works fine.
Submitting a bug report now.

I guess it's just too different from the main interface to be accepted instantly.
Opera is a rather niche browser. So finding and fixing bugs specifically for Opera has low priority. if at all.

Weird difference between Linux and Windows to pop up. It suggests a separate code base for Opera for each.
