GTK+ Labels!
GTK+ Labels!
Hey,
I'm surprised to see that GTK+ Transmission lacks labels, and I request they be added. Users should have the ability to label torrents, view torrents by label, and append the label to the content's directory when completed. Here is why.
First, labels are a common and expected feature: popular clients like utorrent, and Mac Transmission have this feature.. Second, labels are by far the easiest way to manage large batches of torrents. If I add 100 type x torrents, and then 375 type y torrents, I shouldn't have to slog through the completion directory looking at each folder to sort them, again. The torrents should be added, labeled and thats it: done.
I use Transmission 2.03 on ubuntu 10.04, and I'd be happy to help test this important feature.

Re: GTK+ Labels!
++, I'd like this feature too! It's handy for when handling lots of torrents.
Re: GTK+ Labels!
++Yes, yes, it would be nice and useful!!

It's the only reason I am not using Transmission but uTorrent under Ubuntu..
Can't live without labels, I hate having a messy download dir..
So far Transmission is nice for single downloads, but that's about it..

Re: GTK+ Labels!
I'd like to add my support to this request, for all of the reasons outlined above. Utorrent's ability to save completed torrents into their own directory, and to list only torrents with a particular label, are the only features that prevent me from switching to transmission.

Yes, yes, yes!
I love Transmission but lacking labels is a no-no.
Come on guys, you can do it .

Can't live without them, as long as Transmission doesn't have them I won't be using it.

Re: GTK+ Labels!
Hello,
I came to this board specifically to look for information about tags or labels in the GNU/Linux client(s).
Can someone explain whether there is a practical reason for not implementing this feature or it's just lack of resources, be that time or money.
The lack of this feature is really a minus in this plus application.

Re: GTK+ Labels!
having labels in combination with torrent expander or flexget would be sooooo nice
Re: GTK+ Labels!
This would be really great if you would implement sooner rather than later. It's barely usable as it is.
