Internet activity even when Transmission is doing nothing!!

Hi

I have a monitor running on my router to see what traffic is being generated.

I have noticed traffic coming from my Mac Mini when it should be doing nothing.

There are no uploads/downloads or any else happening on the machine.

As soon as I quit transmission, the traffic ends.

Any idea what tis could be?

actually it is very useful, it gives more users and if there is no trackers online then torrent still can be downloaded.

In addition to DHT there may be tracker updates even when the torrents them self's are stopped, so that generates some traffic.
