query, increasing storage size
query, increasing storage size
currently am using transmission on my nas and downloading ver large torrents, all segmented, file selections at a time. sooner or later am going to run out of space. if i put in another hdd, how can i manage the extra space. does transmission allow multiple download paths, or do i have to setup some raid config?

You can manually tell Transmission to use another partition to save the download to but Transmission has no way to automate a selection between two (or more) paths. You can do it in some limited ways with external scripts though (which I won't attempt to do right now).
Raid is not really required but it can bring in other advantages, but that is something you have to ask the manufacturer of your NAS on how to handle.
The simplest solution I see right now would be to save new downloads to the new disk and keep as much as possible on the existing one, that is that you move completed downloads to the old one when and if you free up space on it.
