Verify Local Data

Post by davemchine »

I frequently get the error message "Verify Local Data" telling me that a piece is corrupt. This happens ALOT. I have tried the option from the Transfers menu to reverify data but it still says it is corrupt. If I delete the item from the Transmission menu, retrieve the torrent file from the trash, put it back in the download directory, it will reverify the data and turn green. What could be causing this problem? It seems to get worse the more simultaneous torrent transfers that are running. Here is some information about my machine that I hope will be helpful. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Transmission 2.75 (13665)
OSX 10.8.2
iMac, 2.5Ghz Intel Core i5, 16GB of memory
20 simultaneous downloads allowed
Global maximum peers set to 200
Maximum connections for new peers set to 200
Peer listening port is open
Download speed is 3000KB/s and I'm usually around 2500
Upload speed is 300KB/s and I'm usually pegging that
Download directory is on a firewire 800 external drive that has been checked with both apple's disk utility and with owc's disc utility with no problems found

HI,

Don't know if it helps but on my side I got similar (altough not identical) behaviour with 2.75 on MAC 10.6.8.
All problems disapearead after I went back to 2.73.

Just my two cents
