Ive never written a script before so what better way to learn?
I was wondering how to write a script that would rename a bunch of files based on filename and sort them into folders accordingly. As a hypothetical example, the TV show "Archer" which has 5 seasons. Archer.S01E06.1080p.Skorpio.bunch.of.random.gibberish.mkv would be translated into the episode of Archer being copied to ~/nfs.fs/Archer/Season 1/Archer - E06 - Skorpio.mkv while leaving the original files to be indefinitely seeded
Reason why: I have a 200lbs 44U server cabinet which I will be setting up a PXE server for OpenELEC/XBMC which will be accessed by a bunch of raspberry pis attached to all the tvs in the house. Ive spent over $600 this month just for bare essentials to drop Cat-6a throughout this 50 year old house just so my technologically retarded parents can watch what they want, when they want.
