Hey all.
Having some issues with Transmission since upgrading to 10.10 and want to "start fresh", but no matter I do, I can't completely get rid of Transmission. In particular, I can't get rid of the preferences, so I can "start fresh". This is what I've attempted:
- deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Transmissions
- deleted ~/Library/Preferences/org.m0k.transmission.LSSharedFileList.plist
- deleted ~/Library/Preferences/org.m0k.transmission.plist
- deleted ~/Library/Caches/org.m0k.transmission
- deleted Transmission.app
Then, I do a reboot, download a fresh copy of Transmission, and launch it. But, when I go to Transmission > Preferences, all my preferences, from the previous install, are still there (download locations, bandwidth settings, etc.).
What am I missing so I can "blow out" Transmission completely, and start fresh?
Thanks,
Kristin.
How to completely uninstall Transmission (including prefs)?

Nope, they're not.x190 wrote:Then your choices are the default ones. But, when I go to Transmission > Preferences, all my preferences, from the previous install, are still there (download locations, bandwidth settings, etc.).
I have custom folders (on an external drive) for incoming & complete; custom location for Groups, various rules for Groups; custom port mapping; custom bandwidth settings; etc. and none of them change after deleting the files detailed above.

UPDATE: Just applied the 10.10 installer to the system again and now things seem back to normal. Just blew Transmission and it's back to default settings.
