Moving download files from another machine to seed w/transmission

I've been downloading a few files using a specific tracker - and I have been seeding the same downloads to keep the sharing going. But that has been on my desktop machine - which isn't on 24/7, and which obviously I keep busy with other tasks - so I set up my small raspberry-pi server to run transmission in my lan.

And now I need to figure out how to move the downloaded files so that transmission can do the seeding and uploading. I've put the files in the transmission download directory, and nothing is happening. Which is no surprise yet - since transmission doesn't know where the tracker and / or the torrent file are.

So I've got transmission running. Now, what should I do so that transmission is aware of the tracking server and/or the torrent files? I should add, WITHOUT downloading these files again!
