Information for an embedded torrent application

I am working on adapting our in-house torrent client to use libtransmission as a backend (switching from libtorrent-rasterbar). As an embedded application, we have total control of the network we are operating on, and there is no external (internet) input to the system. We have a group of seeders that start with the data and a large swarm of nodes that pull it. We use dht and lpd to get peers, no trackers are present. I am not new to using torrent but certainly new to working on it at this low of a level. As this is far from the normal use case, I was wondering if there was a point of contact I could get in touch with to determine how to optimize libtransmission in this sort of environment.
