Windows 8.1 wont open Transmission missing .dll
Downloaded Transmission 2.92.x64.msi on an ASUS laptop running Win-8.1. Transmission wont start error msg says api-ms-win-crt-string-11-1-0.dll is missing. How do I fix this?
Re: Windows 8.1 wont open Transmission missing .dll
This is "fixed" in nightly builds by aborting the installation and showing the error message "The Universal C Runtime is not installed. Please run Windows Update and install all required Windows updates. You can download the UCRT separately from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226"
Re: Windows 8.1 wont open Transmission missing .dll
FYI there's also a newer version of the same update package at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401

Hi ,
Surely I am here to help you.
Follow these steps.
Firstly check your windows whether it's updated or not
If Windows is updated and everything looks fine, try re-installing the particular program that is reverting https://dll.one/how-to-fix-api-ms-win-c ... ing-error/
Repair installed Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable package
if you already have the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable package installed on your computer and still getting the error, there’s a high chance that it can be fixed by repairing the program.
Install https://www.microsoft.com/en-in Visual C++ Redistributable Update.
Register the DLL file:
Copy-paste the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll file
Next, plug the drive on your computer and copy that file and head over to C:\Windows\System32\downlevel and paste it there, and that’s it.
Hope your problem get solved by following these steps.
