Transmissionic Web Interface
Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
"Drag and drop this button inside your bookmarks bar to import magnet links and hashes from other websites in one click."
Does this even have a function in the original transmission-daemon? If so how?

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
I've never seen this feature in Transmission or any other Web UI. This was suggested by a user on GitHub: https://github.com/6c65726f79/Transmissionic/issues/131
And this is done entirely via Transmissionic, I think it's cool to have exclusive features like this.

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
Ok, so it's to no use in the original transmission-daemon then. Only if using your client software.

I'm not sure to understand your original question, but yes you need to use my Web UI to use this bookmarklet.
There are other projets that add this feature, but I don't know if they still work: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11355

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
Yes I use your webui. But I don't use your app. I use the original https://transmissionbt.com daemon client

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
So no problem, it will work perfectly. The app for Windows or Android is only an alternative to the Web UI, they don't replace transmission-daemon.
Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
Don't know. If you understand, that you are providing a * webui * to the ** original bittorrent client transmission **, with "features/stuff" that will never work using the *original bittorrent client*?
And you are advertising your *** own *** software in the transmissionbt software forum as a webui for the transmissionbt client.???

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
Your 'fork' of the WEBUI 'whatever' is not 100% compatible. So it's not a webui for the https://transmissionbt.com ** original client **. So don't advert it as one. I do like it, I do, but...

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
You've misunderstood something here. Everything that I provide is 100% compatible with the original transmission-daemon without any other requirement, that's the purpose of my project.
The Web UI is only a part of my project, so technically this is a Web UI for Transmission. But I also provide an installable application that does exactly the same thing as the Web UI and must be used alongside with the original transmission-daemon, like a lot of other applications have already done:
- Transmission Remote GUI (https://github.com/transmission-remote-gui/transgui)
- Transmission Remote (https://github.com/y-polek/TransmissionRemote)
- Tremotesf (https://github.com/equeim/tremotesf-android)
- Transdrone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... droid.lite)
- Torrnado (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... o.torrnado)
- Electorrent (https://github.com/tympanix/Electorrent)
So I really don't see the problem here, but the conversation is getting a little off topic, let's focus on the Web UI please.
We where talking about the bookmarklet feature, which I repeat, works perfectly with this Web UI and the original transmission-daemon without further requirements. Just follow the instructions in the Bookmarklet section on GitHub.

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
For now it only works on pages that contain a magnet link. I can't share torrent site here, but for example on this page it will work: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnet_URI_scheme
In the next version it will also work with torrent file links.

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
You can now use the bookmarklet to import torrent file links in v1.1.8. (You need to re-add the bookmarklet to update it)
It has been tested on archive.org and legittorrents.info, but it should work with most sites that don't require registration.

Re: Transmissionic Web Interface
Sorry, it wasn't supposed to be always enabled, I've fixed this in v1.3.1.
