While I'm not sure if the time it takes qbtorrent to move a data file is actually faster than Transmission, the process is nicer. Unlike Transmission, which freezes everything and gives the spinning color wheel on initiating a data file move, qbtorrent keeps working and notes that the data file is 'moving' during the transfer to a different disk or folder.
I'd like to add a feature request here for a data file move that works like qbtorrent, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Does anyone know what the difference in the two programs' respective approach to this is?
Speedier Data File Moves in qbtorrent...Why?
