Your router also supports Port Triggering. Make sure that's OFF.

Long shot ...

Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall options...

Make sure Transmission.app is listed, allowing incoming connections.

If it's listed etc, then try the probe after turning the Firewall OFF.

Yeah, I'd checked that, already listed and allowing incoming. I turned firewall off, then attempted the probe – it still "passed" Shields Up (i.e. it's closed).

Sigh. I'm pretty confident it's set up properly but I will scour for any bug reports of similar behaviour. Is there any chance there could be an ISP level issue?

I guess tis possible it's the ISP, but I've never seen that. If an ISP is going to block something they typically kill the routing of the IP itself.

Same here: i jus tryed 4.0.3 : port closed. Back to 3.0 -> Port Open

After some hours : the port on TM 3 is also closed! it's the second time i have this problem : each time i run TM 4.x.x the pref files are corrupted and the port is close on TM 3 after some time! TM 4 is a SH1T ! i have to manually remove all the config files again and reinstall TM and configure it again after exporting and reimporting all my torrents manually hours of "work"!

for me TM 4 go directly to the tashcan forever!
