Any tested limits?

Anyone tested limits of Transmission? I'm interested at how many active torrents I can expect issues.
I'm currently spread across 3 docker instances but maybe I don't need to be or maybe I should be spinning the fourth?
The largest instance is approaching 5000 torrents for example and I have no clue if I'm perfectly good to go and I can keep adding to it or I should be splitting to a new instance just in case.
I welcome any insights.

I know one of the devs tests with 15k. Some users have reported as many as 100k+.

I'm running transmission-daemon on VERY limited hardware with currently 23k+ torrents. I see no merit in spinning up multiple instances unless each instance need different configuration. But I doubt that is needed.
