Hi All,
This is my first post, and I am not technically minded, so please be gentle.
I am looking at moving my downloaded files to an external hard drive, but am concerned as to whether they will still be seedable after moving. I have joined a group that requires files to be seeded for as long as possible, and dont want to fill up my hard drive, so an external hard drive makes the most sense to me.
Could anyone tell me whether after moving the files, Transmission will still be able to read them, and upload them whenever a call is made?
Also, if I disconnect the hard drive at any time, is there any procedure to reconnect the drive and continue seeding, or is it as simple as closing Transmission, disconnecting the hard drive, then reconnecting and restarting Transmission?
I am using a Macbook and have Transmission 4.0.6 installed.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Move Data File To...
Yes. What does "whenever a call is made" mean in this context?
Yes, it could be this simple. The main thing is that Transmission needs to know where you have moved the files to. You can either use the relocate method within Transmission to actually move files or move the files manually and then use relocate within Transmission without the "move" option. Or move and symbolic link if you know what you're doing. Also, if I disconnect the hard drive at any time, is there any procedure to reconnect the drive and continue seeding, or is it as simple as closing Transmission, disconnecting the hard drive, then reconnecting and restarting Transmission?
