antikorr: The Russian localization will be supported in beta 2 (or the release, whichever comes first).

So, the problem seems to lurk in the absence of Russian localization. If so, I'm pretty glad to know there is no critical issue around. ;) Thanks for the reply, livings124! Appreciated! I'm already anxious waiting for the second beta to be released.

Minor bug: In the Web client, when I "Open" a new torrent using an URL, its loaded but paused. The settings are to "start transfers when added" and they work fine when I add the torrent the other way (browsing and uploading the .torrent file).

I've just upgraded from 1.52 to 1.60b1. I had limits set for upload. Now it selected unlimited itself, but the limit itself still seems active. No crashes or unstable behavior for now.

My upload limit problem seems to have come back. I've had it in every official release for the last month or two, but a nightly from a week or two ago fixed it. Basically, when I set an upload limit either per torrent or globally, it isn't respected. It just maxes out at 95Kb/s, despite showing the set limit correctly in the interface and preferences.

To be sure it's not machine specific I've tested this on 3 other macs on 2 other networks (both with and without routers) and they all exhibit the same behaviour. Only happens with the mac version though :/

With this Beta, I've got the same problem: upload limit isn't respected. It just goes for the max. bandwidth performance.

Are these speed limits global limits, or torrent limits. What are the limits set to in prefs and in the inspector per-torrent? Is "include in global speed limit" selected in the inspector?

In my case, I have a global limit set to 60Kb/s, no per-torrent limits and in the inspector all torrents have "stay within the global limits" checked.

Only the upload limits seem to be affected as if I specify any download limits they are enforced perfectly fine.

One thing which is a tad annoying is that if I run the web UI on my MacBook, close the lid, then open it again, this beta doesn't automatically reconnect and spits out an error message. I have to manually reload the page to get it to update. I think this was introduced in 1.52, as 1.51 automatically reloaded the webpage without any interaction.

For me, my upload limits (60KB/s) are respected. No problems here.

Transmission is (possibly) respecting my speeds, however, it looks like it's incrementing the speed each time to the displayed values instead of showing it properly, my download rate is currently 3.38 M and upload is 5.38 M, I know for a fact my internet connection doesn't support such speeds! (I wish.)
