PORT FORWARDING IS STOPPING?

Post by RUDIKING »

Hi, I'm running Transmission 2.04 through a Clearwire Modem and a D-Link DIR 655 Router

that you've confirmed that either UPnP or NAT-PMP is enabled on it. UPnP is enabled.

I tested the default port with the Mac OS Network Utility and it tells me the port is open.
Port Scan has started ...

Port Scanning host: 192.168.0.198

Open TCP Port: 51413
Port Scan has completed ...

but when I try to set it in transmission it remains closed. Any ideas?

I used to have clearwire and my port would only forward 25% of the time (sometimes less during the afternoon hours). Clearwire is known for blocking bittorrent/p2p traffic, just google clearwire bittorrent and you'll get a ton of info about pissed off clearwire customers. Since changing ISP's, I haven't had any problems with my ports not opening.
