For what it's worth, the registration and login process for this forum is *really* annoying... it requires sorting a list of items — seems reasonable enough, but it needs drag and drop, and it is frustratingly easy to trigger the two-finger-swipe "previous page" gesture while trying to sort the list (three-finger-swipe drag and drop) using a track pad. Even that wouldn't be so bad, but then choosing "next page" to go back to the registration form gives an error message about it having expired, and erases the whole form I just filled out.

To add insult to injury, on the first time I try to log in, it says: "You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below." — with another one of those awful sorting things.

Madness, I say. Madness.

I've opined this months ago for this post... can't put my finger on it just now amongst all these dozens of pages. Here is what my 'personal' guru told me -

99.99% of these weird client ids are connections external to the 'USA defined' network. When the pathway opens up, the international system generates a brand new cross-border identity, usually random, which masks the real client id. You can make lists of these confusing client ids until Kingdom Come, and you will ever do is keep adding items to the bottom of the list - it will never end.

So tell me, please... have ANY of these items EVER been identified? And what would / could you do with that information? To me, this thread seems like a lot of turmoil for an artificial problem that has no practical solution (or implementation).

But, hey! I could be wrong! :D
