Transmission

This is really confusing.
The proxy settings are gone.

This big change isn't even mentioned under Changes for 2.12

I found out that the team removed it because it was only a tracker proxy and its implementation not very good.
Fair enough, but next time, at least mention it in the changes.

My question: How do I use transmission on OS X 10.6.4 with btguard.com?

You'll have to change your core system settings to use a proxy. That'll affect all applications though. Even before 2.12, btguard shouldn't have worked with Transmission.
