Transmission

Hi, I'm using Automatic to feed transmission in my Mac Boxee. That works smooth, thanks for that.

But, I was wondering if there any way to get an RSS feed published from my Transmission with all my downloads so I can check it status inside boxee. What I'm doing is watching it from web interface on my iPad but sometimes is too slow because... all the downloads going on on boxee!

Any suggestion? thx

Transmission doesn't have any RSS support so it can't publish RSS feeds.

Flexget is a great way to feed Transmission... from RSS.

You can get the status of transmission with rpc or remote. The output format is json. You might then transform that to rss-xml and feed it to boxee or have boxee interpret the data directly. This actually could be a useful feature to implement in transmission. I suggest you request it.

Transmission is definitely not going to have a built-in rss-xml output. That's the kind of feature that would be very useful, but only to a few people. To avoid bloating up Transmission, this feature is better off being in a 3rd party script.
