Something is wrong with the write permissions to your Desktop folder. Have you tried fixing them through the Disk Utility?
- Open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app
- Select your system drive from the left side
- First Aid > Repair Disk Permissions

I tried what you said, but I still have the same error message. I really don't understand. With Vuze it work's all right, but I want to use Transmission, the peer to peer I prefer. So what?
