404: Not Found error (Too many open files)

Transmission 2.12 is installed on CentOS 5 32bit on a VPS.

It was working fine but suddenly stopped working, giving error:

404: Not Found
/usr/local/share/transmission/web/index.html (Too many open files)

Please, help me to solve this issue.

One thing you can do is upgrade to 2.20, which has a fix for one possible cause of "too many open files":
