"Permission denied" despite chmod 777

Even though I have set the owner and group correctly AND chmodded the directory 777 (see below), I still get the "Permission denied" error shortly after starting a torrent. When I use the default directory (/var/lib/transmission-daemon/downloads) it works, even if this one has exactly the same settings.
