I know it has been stated that the developers have no interest in adding this but what about the USERS that constantly ask for it and those who have used convoluted work arounds. This feature is available in many programs for windows users but none for Mac OSX. I'll be more than happy to pay for the programme once it actually does what I want!

Flexget combined with TransmissionRPC is the best way to go in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestion. The only problem the combination, like most solutions, seems to need a higher level of computer skills than I possess. Such a shame the developers of transmission have no interest in users, Hopefully somebody will produce a Mac program (even chargeable) that has such features when we can dump transmission.

Correct me if I am wrong, but OS X is similar to nix and as such has a form of bash correct? If it does then why not just write a shell script to pull the rss feed, rip the links out of it and put them in the monitored folder. I do something very similar on a NAS.
