Stop transmissiond process in a proper way

Hi everyone,
I am writing in this post because I was looking for something which should be quite easy to resolve but I did not find yet. How to start and stop nicely (and as easy as possible) the transmissiond process from a Windows PC. I have DS211j with DSM 3.1 which uses Transmission as Download Station application. Of course I can always use WebDAv and using the DSM Desktop inactivate the Download Station in the control panel but I am looking for a few step process so anyone can do it with just one click.
I installed the Transmission Remote GUI but, as it says, it is GUI so it just connects to the service but it does not stop it. I also installed the Chrome Extension Synology Download Assistant -which is great BTW- and it is able of stopping the Download Station but I was looking for something even simpler.
So my final decision was to do a simple script using ssh and connecting to the NAS. I found the binary file is in /usr/syno/sbin/transmissiond and being root it can be started but not stopped. Of course I can kill it but I was looking for some kind of daemon or sh stop command to do it nicely.
So, questions are, if someone could help me:
1.- Does anyone know any way -webdav URL, application,..- to stop the entire Download Station Process?
2.- In case no, does anyone know how to stop the transmissiond binary? How the DSM Control Panel or Chrome Extension Synology Download Assistand does?
Many many thanks in advance,
NOTE: Reason why I want to stop completly the process is because I have a hell Belkin router which drops any other internet connection different from the bittorrent so I can not browse, receive emails or anything.
