downloading from specific IP

Hi Everyone

Can someone give me an idiot's guide on how to download from a specific IP please?
I want to download from someone specific. They are seeding through a tracker. I want to download the torrent file from the tracker's site, but not download from all seeders, just the one that i choose.

I hope this makes sense...

I've had a read through the forum and can't see anything similar, so is it possible? I'm running ubuntu 10.4 if that makes a difference, and I am based in CHina and the person i wish to download from is in the UK.

It is possible, but kind of a hazzle. You can setup a blocklist, in which you block all IPs besides the one you want to connect to.

Example (IPv4 only): You want to connect to 1.2.3.4
Your blocklist should look like this:

Lower:0.0.0.0-1.2.3.3
Higher:1.2.3.5-255.255.255.255

Save those two lines in a file, name it something like custom.p2p and place it in the blocklist folder specified in your install (close the client beforehand ...).
Off course you have to change the file if the IP is dynamic.

Good luck.

Possibly would be easier to just use a private tracker. Or just use a different protocol entirely.
