It contained 1 .avi-file.
I remembered where I originally got the torrent from, so could start the exact same download.
Luckily it reappeared in Transmission (2.03) after a few minutes of veryfying local data, but the strange thing is that the folder is only visible when I set hidden folders visible.
The folder also has a ~ character behind it's name; not sure if that was there before.
Can anyone explain this behavior?
Does the ~ have anything to do with it? (I didn't dare remove it yet)
EDIT: never mind - I ended up deleting the tilde and all is fine.
