Problem in uploading/downloading
Posted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:24 pm
Hi,
I was trying to share a file by creating a torrent file in a LAN. I used the transmission 1.92 Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Created the new torrent file with source as my local file.
I used 3 computers.
1st PC : Transmission bittorrent client 1.92 acted as seeder
2nd PC: Transmission bittorrent client 1.93 acted as peer
3rd PC: uTorrent bittorrent client 3.1.3 as another peer
Tracker : I used the private tracker. (Bit Storm) which was running on a xampp server.
After the setup, I started the torrent in their respective client.
The seeder (1st PC) was showing seeding with 0 of 0 peers connected, the tracker was active (checked in properties), and no peer was their in the list
The peer (2nd PC) was not able to download with 0 of 0 peers connected, the tracker was active with no peers in list
The peer (3rd PC) was also not able to download
The tracker database was populated with the all three peers.
The problem was it was not uploading/downloading anything.
Note: I also changed the peer port address in the settings.json file but found the same problem with it
The same configuration is working fine if i use utorrent as a client in all the system
Can somebody here help me please !! ASAP !! Thanks in advance !!
