Rate Limits are not calculated correctly

Post by boondoklife »

I am using transmission 2.60 (the latest version I have available to me) and can not get the rate limit to work correctly...! There has to be something I am missing or not seeing and need help figuring it out.

I have a 100Mb connection and want to set limits of 80% UP and 90% DOWN. This should calculate out to (100/8) to get to Bytes: 12.5MBps, then into kB 12.5*1000: 12500kBps . Now for the speeds, 90% Down = 11250kBps and 80% Up = 10000kBps.

Now when I use these numbers, my upload and download drop to 1-2 MBps each (~2-4 MBps total). If I turn off the limits I get my full Band of about 15MBps total.

EDIT: After so playing, the highest number I can enter seems to be 8989, anything higher that that seems to set it starting from 0!

Any help on this is greatly needed,
Boon
