Possibility of this configuration of a dedicated client

Hi. I'm working on a dedicated client on a Raspberry running Raspbmc. The idea is that transmission will run only at night (using crontab) so my home network will be usable during the day by my flatmates.
With normal torrent files, I am saving them to a specific directory and the transmission daemon adds them when starts (watch-dir).
- But how can I add magnets? I've red that right now is not possible.
At any time, I can ssh to the Raspberry, start the daemon, connect to the webui, add the magnets, and stop the daemon, but is there a way to make this process easier? (and I'm thinking on my girlfriend, as she is in charge of the downloads
)
Also, in this context (raspberry, shared internet connection, girlfriend as regular user), what would you do to have a easy-to-use dedicated client?
