Transmission

I have recently started using transmission on my ubuntu server install in place of uTorrent, using the web interface only. In the uTorrent web interface you were able to add additional trackers to the torrent which I found would normally increase the rate at which torrents could be downloaded. In the web interface for transmission I seem to be able to view the trackers for the torrent listed by clicking the "i" icon and then the "A" button in the menu that shows but I can't see a way to add any additional trackers to this list. Is this doable in the web interface?

Yes, unlike managing peers, this can be done in the web interface. I have implemented basic tracker management in Shift.
