transmission file errors

After using transmission for years, i've all of a sudden started having corrupt downloads. When i force it to verify local data, it redownloads 33% of the file. i need to force verification several times to get a good file.

i sometimes also see journal messages like this:
transmission-daemon[3788]: [21:33:55.941] <FILE> Piece 495, which was just downloaded, failed its checksum test (torrent.c:3251)

what i am using:
Using archlinuxarm on a pogoplug e02
Packages (1): transmission-cli-2.82-1
completely up to date

thoughts?

First: What's this post doing in GTK+ support? You say you're using transmission-cli "package", which as we have learned recently could be the daemon, not the transmission-cli program, and definitely not transmission-gtk... the post should be in the general forum.

Second: You are describing what clearly are file system problems, not Transmission problems. Either your disk(s) are failing, your file system needs a fsck, you're using an unreliable mounted file system, and so on.
