Connection With Server Failed

Hi all,
I'm looking for a bit of help please. I have recently upgraded the Transmission daemon on my Linkstation Live LS-CHL and can no longer send torrents to it from my iOS app iTransmission. I can see what is running in Transmission so I can connect to it but I can't start any new torrent file - all I get is "Connection with server failed. Please make sure you have correctly set up your download settings."
I'm running 2.82-1. I can access and add torrents from the web GUI.
Any thought??
