Transmission

Hi am new to useing transmission also new to ubuntu the transmission am useing on my ubuntu desktop 12.04 is version 2.82 how can i update transmission to new version 2.83 the PPA way i tryed this

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:transmissionbt/ppa

then the normal,

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

but did not work can anyone help me please how to update transmission easy way am new to ubuntu and transmission

Your commands are correct so just be patient and it should update with your next update cycle. Unless it's fixing something major broken it shouldn't be a big deal to wait.
