experience running TM on a 100 Mb + internet connection

Hi

I'm thinking of setting up transmission on my server to primarily seed files.

I'm wondering if any of you guys here at the forum has experience running Transmission on 100 megabit connection or higher that you would like to share with me.

examples of things i would like to now is:
how is the speed, can you max the connection and is the speed stable?
what advance setting (not found in gui) if any have you tweaked in order to achieve better performance?

a little info of the about the system, primarily:
connection speed
number of hard drives and their rpm
OS

any answers would be greatly appreciated

We tried it on a 1 Gig connection and found that we cannot max out the connection. For reference we download via FTP from the same server and this is usually 2 times faster. What were your experiences in the meantime?
