Transmission

Hi Guys,

I've been looking everywhere on how to set a download limit for Transmission.

I want to have one active download at a time and for the rest of the torrents in Transmission to be queued to start automatically after that download is complete, is that possible?

I am using:

Transmission 2.94
macOS Sierra 10.12.6

I am not running on a Mac so it could be different but ...

Go to "Tools" -> "Transmission Options". (There is a wrench icon that is a shortcut to this.)

Select the "Queue" tab.

Make sure the checkmark for "Download queue size" is set and enter a value of 1.

You don't say if you are using the web interface or transmission GUI but I think you can do this from either.

If you want to manually change the settings for transmission you will have to stop the service before you make the change. Any change you make to the file will be overwritten when the service is restarted.

service transmission-daemon stop
nano var/lib/transmission/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json
service transmission-daemon start
