I run transmission 24/7 on a raspberry Pi. I don't download a lot but I have (currently) 950 torrents available for seeding. In the early evening the house's internet connection suffers as our local neigbourhood starts hitting up netflix. At this time, the house's internet may become slow to the point of stopping. I have found that stopping transmission remedies this. The Pi is not affected and works fine, in fact (if there is activity) transmission carries on unhindered.
It seems that transmission's activity is affecting our house internet connection. Does anyone know if this is related to the number of torrents seeding? Any other ideas if/why transmission is affecting our internet connection?
