Transmission

Many years ago, I started using Transmission on Mac OS X.
And visually it looks nice and has a lot of options on Mac OS X.
The same could not be said on Windows 10/11.

However, to be honest:
- On Windows 10/11 Transmission looks very old-fashioned.
- Many options are not available to users.



Interface and Options
unfortunately not in accordance with its real possibilities.
In order to be in line with modern times
it is necessary to redesign the entire (Interface + Options)

Please Redesign Transmission Interface
and add Options:
1.) Option to choose a light or dark theme by default.
2.) Colored progress bars (Green for seeding, blue for downloading, gray for paused, orange for verifying.)
3.) Option in Help to check for updates.
4.) List of peers with country flags.
5.) Option to change language in Transmission.

Transmission users on Windows 10/11
should be provided with the full functionality of the best BitTorrent client.

Transmission / Windows 10 Bugs:

1.) You cannot open a folder
normally from the main window.



Only:
Alt+Enter Show Torrent properties
and then Ctrl+E (Open Folder)
or
First click Show Torrent properties and after that (Open Folder)

2.) Each new torrent file opens a new window of the client,
and certain downloads only work in certain windows.
(When I add a torrent a new instance of transmission is spawned.)

Very interesting topic, this is exactly why i came up with the idea of creating a multi-platform remote for Transmission that look modern on every devices.

I allow myself to talk about it here because it include almost everything you mentioned :

• Light/dark theme
• Change language
• Colored progress bars
• List of peers with country flags

I'm also planning to add more features like file/folder opening and automatic updates.

Sorry I don't think there's anything I can do about that.

Dark theme is awesome! Design is nice and does not hurt the eyes. Thx you for your work!!

Yes, because it's open source. However ... creating or changing platform-specific interfaces (Windows/Linux/Apple) is quite hard as it requires specific skills and tools. A new web-UI is relatively easy. To consolidate all future effort I would advise the team to remove all platform-specific user interfaces and focus on web-interface only and make all options available through the RPC-api.
