Transmission

I've been running Transmission on Ubuntu for over 5 years. I've recently decided to install a VPN and had ExpressVPN recommended to me. But so far I've been unable to get Transmission to work with the VPN. It won't download or seed. I found an old post on here from 2016 saying someone couldn't get it to seed but it was downloading. So I was wondering if anyone has been able to make Transmission work with ExpressVPN, and if not, are there any other reliable and trusted VPN's someone could recommend that will work?

I am having issues with ExpressVPN all of the sudden.

I have run Transmission with ExpressVPN HUNDREDS of times over the years and all of the sudden it will not transfer data either way if I have the VPN on.

Anyone got any ideas?
