Transmission Daemon not working in Bullseye

Post by takuhii »

I'm having some trouble getting my Transmission Daemon working in Raspberry Pi OS (Bullseye)...

Basically, it's all setup, but when I add a torrent, it retrieves the meta data then tells me it "can't save the resume file" and drops the torrent...
I checked the permissions of the folders and files and they seem ok, I also checked the ownership of the files/folders and they are set to my user :/

Any ideas?

Have you, as user transmission-daemon, tried to write a file in the resume folder?

No, I've changed the default user to `Pi`

Ok. Have you, as user pi, tried to write a file in the resume folder? (I believe the default user is pi not Pi.)

sorry, my computer auto corrected to Pi, the default user is `pi`, and I can write a file to it without a problem...

ha haaaa, fixed it... The user was pi in the settings, but still debian-transmission in the transmission.service file... all working again ;)
