I am desperately trying to regain remote control of Transmission 4-04 after my old NAS died. I have tried two setups:
1. Transmission running locally on a Mac Mini (Catalina), downloading as it should. How ever - as soon as I try to start a downlaod remotely from my other Mac Mini using Transmission Remote GUII get "download directory path is not absolute". The download directory on the Mac running Transmission is /Users/minimac2/Transmission/. That's where the locally downlaoded files end up as well. There is no settings.json anywhere on this Mac. How should I specify the path, locally and remotely?
2. My new NAS (QNAP) reacts exactly the same, "download directory path is not absolute".
The local path on the NAS is/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Transmission/.
The Transmission is V.4.04, RTG is V 5.18.
PLEASE HELP!
download directory path is not absolute
Re: download directory path is not absolute
Try a full name, eg: /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Users/minimac2/Transmission/

No settings.json means no config. See: viewtopic.php?t=8465
