Is trackerless torrents possible in Transmission?

Hi everyone!
Is it possible to transfer a file by creating a torrent from it, and send it via email to a friend, without involving a tracker? I need to send a private file to a friend, and wonder if this procedure might work with Transmission. If it does, how is it done?
