Hey guys, I've had the "Slow Death" problem 2x after upgrading to 1.50. As you know there are no error logs generated or I would put one up for you. The symptoms are exactly the same as before.

I do think I might have found the reason. Both times today and the last few times before that, speed limit was engaged with multiple files downloading. My cap is 10k up 10k down when i activate it. But yeah, I know of at least 4 times this has happened and every time it was when i was limiting it or had limited it. I'm thinking that or something that effects is what is grinding leopard to a halt when it happens.

I too am experiencing the pause and resume buttons not working since updating to 1.50. And I am also running 10.4.11 because of a certain program that I have to be able to run for work will not run on 10.5 yet. This is a serious inconvenience. however you do not need to "pause all" or "resume all". You can simply select the torrent you want to pause or resume and go to to the transfers tab up top and either "resume selected" or "pause selected". I really hope they release a fix for this shortly.

Thanks Ink, the Transfers menu thing helps a lot - although I'll likely stay with beta 5 unless there is a noticeable advantage to moving to the final release. I should have thought about that option...

As far as a fix goes, I get the impression that it's not going to happen.

I tried allowing Trans 1.50 Beta 5 upgrade itself to the final release, but the individual torrent buttons still didn't work. Now that I know about the transfer menu option, I guess I'll let the final run for a day or so to see if it auto-magically fixes itself. (I have my doubts about that, but we'll see.) I'll start the final release up in the next couple of days -- I'd rather not interrupt the current upload.

That is correct.

May I know the reason why not? Is it to difficult to implent for Tiger or simply because you are not going to give support to tiger anymore?

Control+Click (or Right Click/Double finger click) any place on the toolbar and then select "Customize Toolbar". Then you just drag and drop in order to organize the buttons as you please ;D

I have higher cpu usage than even in b5 too, around 15%, running 12 torrents on a 2.1Ghz macbook, very few encrypted peers (actually can't see one now).

There's a ticket complaining about 1.50 using more CPU than previous versions, but so far nobody's stepped forward to profile it when the CPU is running hot. If you have time, please create a Shark report and attach its ascii output to that ticket...

I too had problems with Transmission right after the 1.5 update. I was unable to quit it in OSX 10.5.6. The crash prevented me from shutting down my computer, despite attempts to quit, force quit, and log off. Also, now that i have everything up and running again, none of my torrents are present. The data files are there, but the torrents are not visible in Transmission. Has anyone else run into this?
