Noob Question: Force-Restart Torrents?

Post by ignatz »

Hi all,

I've generally had very good experiences with Transmission (hanging on quit aside), but I think I may be missing something:

I had several torrents coming down nicely, when I was forced to re-start. When transmission re-launches, only one of the torrents has re-started. The others are just sitting there at 0 from 0 peers - DL: 0.0 KB

Is there any way to force-restart these transfers, or is there something I'm not getting about the peer / seed relationship?

Edit: using OS X 10.5.6

Did Transmission have to verify the transfers after your system restart? I've had similar problems in which Transmission wouldn't continue downloading when a large Torrent was verified unless it was paused and restarted.

Rolcol -- Yes, that's what happened. Looks like a bugfix / feature request matter.
