port forwarding questions

Hi
Ive read the FAQ about port forwarding....

I've checked Trans prefs at
prefs > network > automatically map port
and the Network: peer listening port has a green dot and says port is open.

1. Does this mean that Transmission has automatically mapped and port forwarded for me ?
2. Does this mean that all my torrent activity is already always all port forwarded or can i port forward and target individual leech ports on top of this ?

Yes, Transmission has successfully forwarded your port and all of your traffic through it - no need to manually forward =).

so it can do that even though my IP is dynamic not static ?

Yes, even if you have dynamic lan and wan IPs, it should work =)

yup it is more about what your router/modem and ISP wants (I could automatic forward with my previous one but whit this one I had to do it manually)
