Linux - Trouble to seed

Hi,
I am using Transmission on Ubuntu 8.10, I have to share some files whose .torrent files are on my tracker to the people of the enterprise I a working in;
I create the .torrent file and upload it on my tracker.
I download the .torrent file with Transmission. I want to use Transmission to seed the file. The content is located in the same folder with the .torrent file.
But Transmission only tries to download it even if it click on the Seeding option in its interface!!
How can I fix it??
