Questions about priority

Post by kaz219 »

When I set all files of torrent A to "low priority", all files of torrent B to "normal priority" and all files from torrent C to "high priority", will it gives higher priority to C or not?

To make it short, I'd like to know if these priority settings are only valid within one torrent or if they are valid in comparison to all torrents from Transmission.

You can set the priority for each torrent in the last tab of the inspector. No need to do this with all the files ;)

Thanks for the answer!

So I got another question: let suppose and set the priority of one whole torrent higher. Does it make any difference if I set the priority of one of the files of this particular torrent higher?

I think it does, but I'm not 100% sure. You could easily try it out though.

Thanks for your help. I tried and it does make a difference. So I suppose there is 9 levels of priority in Transmission: 3 torrent priorities x 3 file priorities.
