suddenly no uploads or downloads

this morning everything was fine -- now I cannot upload or download. I did nothing since updating "Java for Max OS C 10.4, Release 9" 4 days ago.

I'm using Transmission (v1.54 - 8615) on a G4 running OSX10.411

I'm using port 65533 and have tried several others -- always ensuring the corresponding changes in littlesnitch, the OSX firewall and my router -- and I get the green Open Port message and up/download start for maybe 2 or 3 seconds, then I get the "post closed" message and all uploading/downloading stops.

I've rebooted the mac, the router, the modem.......no difference.

Any ideas?

(I tried the latest version of transmission on my imac running 10.5x and it started downloading, but still said the port was closed (although, to be fair, I didn't change any router settings, so the port forwarding was still going to the G4's IP address.)

(later...) I downloaded Tomato and am successfully downloading on this same G4.....very odd)

hmmm....it's ok today and I did nothing -- odd, but phew!

Yeah, this is a weird Transmission problem that I've encounter about five times now. It suddenly will remedy itself though so it's hard to troubleshoot.

There's nothing wrong with my internet connection, because uTorrent will download at great speeds while Transmission just hangs there. It's really perplexing. I've tried older and nightly builds and the same problem still occurs.
