The included libevent has many syntax errors for a Windows (MinGW) build, trivial to fix but it show somebody is committing changes carelessly which makes their work suspect... or you guys pulled a copy from a temporary repository.
To rb338: it works fine on my NAS, but I'm not using (and never have used) moving stuff.

I haven't seen problems like that with the daemon, adding torrents and managing them through the Web client and also through the Qt application.
Could you describe the problem further?
How did you obtain the log? Did you try some debugging by running the deamon in the foreground?

I'm running Transmission on my CH3SNAS, so I just checked the transmission-remote.log in ~/.transmission-daemon.
I didn't try running the daemon in foreground and don't have shell access to the device at the moment. Btw, I've seen more messages from people getting the exact same error. Maybe it's a problem with the CH3SNAS build...
I just updated and I get "51413, protocol error 1, no/erroneous BT client listening or misconfigured router" at my torrent site, and T takes ages to connect, and then "Error: not authorized; don't hammer this tracker with multiple announcements for a torrent" on the progress bar of T! I'm not! I only have one torrent I'm seeding... It's working (seeding) but I never got these with 1.72. I'd attach the log, but I get .txt and .log not allowed....

I think I must be misreading this post. You're using a 1.73 derivative with someone else's patches in it, but you're reporting the bug here?

We pull libevent from their `patches-1.4' branch, which is supposed to be their stable branch. If there are new issues showing up there, please report them upstream to the libevent bug tracker... thanks.

You're right indeed, sorry. Didn't know it was a 3rd party patch, I quoted the guy who posted the compiled version. I'm running the vanilla 1.73 now and it seems fine!
I don't mean to seem impatient, but I noticed on the download page (http://www.transmissionbt.com/download.php) there are only links to the Nightly and Beta PPAs. Does this mean the PPA I mention above is not maintained anymore?

Replying to myself: I see it's updated now. Please ignore my last question. Thanks!
I upgraded from 1.34 to 1.73 and my ratio does not grow anymore when seeding.
Using XUbuntu Hardy 8.04 LTS 64-bit, packages for 1.73 made from Karmic repository.
