Possible Problem with 10.5.8

Post by ironhide1975 »

Every since I upgdated to 10.5.8, Transmission will hang the system after several minutes of use. Anyone else experience this?

I've been using 10.5.8 for a while and haven't experienced any sort of issue. It might help if you mentioned what Transmission build are you using, as well if you already tried using the latest nightly build and check if the issue is still present.

When it hangs up, you end up force quitting or how do you make it close? Does it always hangs up? Have you also tried creating a new user and opening/closing Transmission from there?

Using 1.73. Transmission completely hands my system (it seems) and I have to reboot my mac in order to resume.

I am unaware where the most recent build is, but I can defintely try that if you point me in the right direction.

There's more information in this thread: http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtop ... f=4&t=3274

Could you try creating a new user and opening Transmission from there?

I downloaded the nightly build and alas no luck. I double checked my hard drives and even uninstalled Norton Antivirus. For some reason all of a sudden Transmission will just completely hang my entire system. I can't even force quit it, I just get an endless spinning beach ball. I have a crash reporter log I would be happy to email you but I'm not sure if its a problem with Transmission or 10.5.8.

I subscribed to submit a ticket but don't have permissions. Can you grant me permissions or provide me with an email address and I can send you this crash report. Feel free to contact me via my email as well.
